Many people in Salem believed that they were doing the right thing when they condemned innocent men and women to die at Gallows Hill in 1692 which is now commonly known as The Witch Hunt of Salem. When the witch hysteria swept through the small Salem Village it is understood why the people of Salem would condemn those people to death; they were only trying to protect those that they loved, but still they went about it all the wrong way. The real question is whether or not the witch hunt was all just one big jest.
